7 days of writing challenge

So on Monday my friend Chris and I decided to set a challenge to each other. Who could write the most in 7 days. It was a way to spark the flames of motivation. To get the ball moving again. Here’s how it went. And who won.

So that Monday we both go in and I put a half ass effort in. Bringing in 202 words. So all week I’ve been playing catch up. She’s being winning the whole time. Mistakes were made. And if we do this again I won’t play around the first day.

Tuesday went way better I hit 2,011 the aim was to get in head or closer to her. But she pulled a 2,600+ I’ve never been angrier haha.

Wednesday and Thursday I did alright hitting 1k then dropping the next day to 500 but hey it is what it is. Thankfully she just stopped writing Thursday and Friday. So it’s given me a chance to catch up. Unfortunately I didn’t write on Friday either.

Saturday I had a quiet one. So I used that time to get choirs done and write as much as I could. I have to beat her. That was my only motivation haha.

Sunday was the last day and I decided to read a book instead of writing a word. And it ended up costing me in the end.

This challenge was to help get the writing juices flowing for me and it really did. I got so much more of my rewrite of my WIP done. In such a small amount of time. It’s funny what you can do when you start a competition.

And the winner is: Chris
