I’m not expecting much from 2023. The past few years haven’t been the kindest and I just refuse to go into another year with stars in my eyes. So I’m just rolling into 2023 and just going with the flow. Let’s see what happens.
Here’s a wrap up on my year.

Reading
This year I tried ‘the read around the world’ challenge. I’m pretty proud of how many places I managed to knock off. I’m curious how much of the world I’ve read in the years I’ve been reading. I think I’m going to give it a go and see what countries I need to read from as a challenge for 23.

I was planning on reading 100 books this year like I did last year. But I knew I wasn’t going to make it this year and changed it to 80 and managed to read 81 this year.

It was cool to see what genres I read from the most this year too.

I tried to track my Dnfs but I just ended up losing interest. I did track my series I’ve been reading though. And as messy as this tracker is it came in handy.

My average book rating apparently was a 3.8. I joined book sirens about half way through the year and found some cool arcs. And hope to read a lot more Arcs next year.
Physical books read this year: 19
Ebooks read this year: 63
Audiobooks listened to this year: 2
Arcs: 23
Writing
This year I finished the two NanoWriMo goals I had and finished a rough 1st Draft of my new book I started this year. I have struggled to find the motivation to pick it back up to start the next round of work. But I have tried. I am hopeful that I’ll finish her next year and at least find an editor for it. I’m no longer using my usual go to (just isn’t working). I’m hoping to just keep writing for fun and see where it gets me.
Here’s to 2023. HAPPY NEW YEAR 🥳
Great wrap up! I read mostly fantasy books this year. I really like how the app tracks that!
