Time to try and beat my reading challenge. Three books to go. So I’m going to try and read them.

At the start of the year I went for 100 books to read goal. Then about two months ago I realised there was no way I was going to make it. So I changed it to 80. Now it’s December. And my reading around this time isn’t always consistent. Goodreads says I have 3 to go. So what better way to spend the next 24 hours then beating my reading goal.
The first book of the night is to finish this book.

I didn’t know much about this going in. It’s not a book I would have picked up let alone brought on my own. But I got this in an unplugged blind book buy. (Both books were fantastic) I really enjoyed this. I loved the folk lore, how dark it was, and the pacing. Muiko is a great MC. Being and outcast all her life. Tak was a great demon prince that I shouldn’t have loved. And Geiki was the best character in this! I’m so glad I picked this up and look forward to seeing what else this author has done and will do.

Book #2

It’s been forever since I’ve picked up a new KJ Charles book. But she finally released one and this Novella was perfect. We got to see Jerry again from any old diamond and I marked out for it. He’s still one of my favourite characters from her books. The relationship between the two mains was perfect. The betrayal felt real and then coming back to each other made sense.

Book #3

I purposely left the Nash book to last because sh is my favourite smut writer. And I just felt like after reading this I wouldn’t want to read the others. This is a novella for the shadows of London series. It was a fun quick read and I have missed reading these characters.
