A week of reading.

A 7 day spring readathon.

Today I finished the goal I wanted and finished my first Draft of my book. As a reward I’m going to spend the week reading books. I have a reading goal to meet and a tbr to kill. Below is the run down on how it has gone.

I started this by reading an arc I got from book siren.

This book had me by C.S. Pacat’s endorsement alone. The story starts straight away. You get to know the boys straight away. they had a relationship years before but Balen left to become a prime. Now Balen is sworn to protect King Zavrius. Who is a cheeky shit. He gives me Laurent feels too. I loved the magic system this book had and the powers Zav has. The ability to mess people up playing a harp. I highly recommend this book. I have rated it 5/5 stars.

Zavrius stopped their protests with a raised hand. “I promise you I’m not insane! I can even give the wound to myself. So here it is: you go in and distract them, I’ve been accosted on the road, and I very dramatically react to a tiny wound—” “— and Thenlass drops his guard because the king he underestimates is having a tantrum.” Balen finished. “I like it,” Zavrius

Took a nice Sunday morning walk to break up some of my day. It’s nice spring weather here. So many native flowers popping up.

Three days later and I decided to go back and finish the NetGalley arc I should have already finished.

This book is about the females of the Frankenstein story. And being a massive geek for Frankenstein I jumped at the chance to read it. The book is written beautifully.

Unfortunately that’s all that I liked about this book. The writing style. The story itself did grab me. I kept giving up on it. So I didn’t finish this book. Instead I moved on.

I started this book I’ve been sitting on for too long. He has lived such an interesting life it just has to be read to believe. I’m hoping to finish this in the next few days.

And that’s an end to a 7 day sprint. It was my reward for finishing my first Draft of my WIP. And I’ve enjoyed doing nothing this week.
