A writer’s holiday part 2

I finally managed to get a place my dog and myself could go to for two nights. I’ve always wanted to go to some cabin/cottage that was secluded and just write. This wasn’t really secluded but it felt like it. It also didn’t have wifi or a tv.

The weather was wild. Apparently the storms we had while here were once in a lifetime storms. It’s just my luck to have such weather on a holiday. So it limited my time out walking. But I guess it was like the weather was stopping the procrastination. Well trying to because let’s be honest it’s easy to do.

The house was nice but it was impossible to sleep at night with all the stuff being shaken out of the trees onto the roof by the strong wind. And I nearly tapped out the next day and went home knowing full well we were going to have the same weather again for a second night. Wouldn’t recommend doing this in winter. That’s for sure.

Still did I achieve what it wanted too? Yes I did. I enjoyed the quietness of it all and it helped me write more of my book.

Would I do it again? Yes I would happily do it again. I’m already thinking about the next opportunity. Maybe a new place.
