If you like Laura Thalassa books then you might like these.

For those of you that have read any of Laura Thalassa books you might come across some other books that have similar feels as hers. And if you like any of these books below and have never read any of her books I highly recommend you do.

First things first here are some of Laura Thalassa books. She is a paranormal romance writer. And they are some of the best.

The recommendations

About: Violeta Graceling was found in the woods with her baby brother and raised by an evil woman, whom tortured and abused them in hopes to rid poor Arien of his Shadows. As they are in the village for the tithe day. Lord Rowan, who is believed to have drowned his whole family wants to take Arien away estate in Lakesedge. Violeta won’t let that happen and in the end she ends up there with the both of them.
As the story progresses you come to find that nothing is as simple as it may seem. The monster may not be the monster you are lead to believe. And there is more going on with Violeta then meets the eye.

This is a dark read, a real gothic horror. With a great cast of characters. Violeta is a strong female lead and Rowan is an awesome love interest. They fit each other so well. And the magic system in this is pretty cool this is the first book in the series ‘world at lake edge ‘.

About: Wrens twin sister is chosen to be the next bride of frost King Boreas. But Wren takes her place and tricks her way in. When Boreas realises it’s to late and they butt heads through out. But Wren has a plan. To kill the frost King.

This story is Pitched as a Beauty and the Beast and Hades and Persephone. And I’d say that was pretty accurate. Wren is an interesting Protagonist because she is described as this ugly sister with a massive scar on her face. But she will do anything to spare her sisters life. Wren is stubborn as anything. But so is Boreas. Boreas has a low opinion on humans but I feel that it’s granted. He isn’t all mean and nasty. He continuously shows how much he cares.

About: Emilia and her twin sister Vittoria are streghe – witches who live secretly among humans, avoiding notice and persecution. One night, Vittoria misses dinner service at the family’s renowned Sicilian restaurant. Emilia soon finds the body of her beloved twin…desecrated beyond belief. Devastated, Emilia sets out to find her sister’s killer and to seek vengeance at any cost—even if it means using dark magic that’s been long forbidden.

Then Emilia meets Wrath, one of the Wicked—princes of Hell she has been warned against in tales since she was a child. Wrath claims to be on Emilia’s side, tasked by his master with solving the series of women’s murders on the island. But when it comes to the Wicked, nothing is as it seems…

This series just keeps on giving. Now book three isn’t out yet. But I have no doubt its going to be just as good. Book one was my favourite read of 2020 and I have just recently read book two and it’s even better. I loved that Emilia, though new to a lot of this stuff, stuck to her guns on her beliefs and what she would do to find her sister. She was someone you could definitely look up to.
Wrath isn’t like the other brothers. And you can forget he is even a prince from hell. He had so many layers. The witchcraft in this looks well researched which made it seem more real. In book two they both grow even more as Emilia goes to the underworld to marry the devil. And I adored the twist in this!

About: Two people brought together by the trappings of duty and politics will discover they are destined for each other, even as the powers of a hostile kingdom scheme to tear them apart.

Brishen Khaskem, prince of the Kai is a wrath and he has to marry Ildiko, niece of the Gauri king. What I enjoyed the most about this book is they thought and told each other how ugly they found each other seeing as they are different species. And neither of them made that out to be a bad thing. They are in a arranged marriage and it was nice to see one where it works out and northern of them are horrible ‘human’ beings.

About: A plague sweeps across the emerald hills of Uí Néill, leaving a young midwife’s father with months to live. To save her people, Sorcha makes a deal with a dangerous Fae. She must travel across the sea, through merrow and kelpie lands, to find a forgotten king on a crumbling throne.

Born king of the Seelie Fae, Eamonn fought battles unnumbered to uphold honor, duty, and freedom… until his twin brother sank a blade between his shoulders. Crystals grew from the wound, splitting open skin and bone. His people banished him to a cursed isle for his disfigurement, now king of criminals and fools

I listened to this on autio and I highly recommend it. it’s so good! This is a real Irish story. I had heard a similar mytho about this before so I had a blast reading it. It’s also a beauty and the beast retelling of sorts. With Eamonn being this grumpy Fae made of crystals. Which is such a weird yet cool concept Sorcha is no push over though and she sees through his BS. It’s time he took his thrown back.
