Let’s start this with were I found it. Writer booktag.
I’ve been struggling alot with motivation. Especially motivation to write. It’s not writer’s block. Because I’d love to actually write. It’s the desire to actually sit myself down and type away. So I’m trying out this whole thing about giving yourself motivation. One way is to do something “fun” make it enjoyable in some way. And seeing as I need a blog idea why not mix them. Two birds one stone. So here is the writers booktag.
A book or series that you’ve never read before.
I’m going with one on my TBR. And this is a classic. I’ve seen the movie and loved it. But book wise, I don’t normally enjoy books like this. Still I do really wanna give it ago…one day.
Second Draft:. A book or series you didn’t like as much the second time you read it.
Mm…mm….I’ll go with twilight. It’s a series I loved as a teen. But I know for a fact I’d hate it now. It still sits on my shelf. With all my fond memories but I will never picked it up again. I don’t want to ruin my good vibes.
Final Draft: A book or series that you’ve liked for a really long time.
I’d say the shadowhunter series. It’s the only series I’ve stuck with the longest. I’ve been reading it since 2008 and I still love it. The stories have grown so much and her writing as gotten so much better too.
Killing Off Your Characters: A book or series that made you cry.
Plot Holes: A book or series that disappointed you.
Oh how there have been a few. Books that I thought I’d love but just didn’t. Like the horror series by Lee Mountford. I love all his books but this haunted series has been boring as all hell. I’ve only actually liked one book and that was devils door. Am I still going to read the series? yes. Will I like them? One can hope.
Writer’s Block: A book or series you never finished.
If I don’t finish a series it’s because I’ve have up on book one. So there are a few but I can’t remember their names for the life of me.
Feedback: A book or series you’d recommend to anyone and everyone.
If you want paranormal romance the four horsemen by Laura Thalassa. If you want a classic YA then the Raven cycle by Maggie Stiefvater. If you want a historical romance with M/M leads Will darling series by KJ Charles.
